About Us

Pop-ups, private food events and brand experiences across Oxford/shire, Bucks & London

Native started out as an 8 weekend long pop-up supper club in an empty pub in Oxfordshire in early 2016 and since then we have delivered more than 30 pop-ups ranging from one-night-only dinners in distilleries and in barns on farms, to multi-weekend series in greenhouses & salvage yards.

We aim to offer unique dining experiences that take all the best bits from our formal training, discarding the rigidity and creating relaxed, innovative events for diners interested in doing something a bit different with their night out. From the success of these sell-out events, we now create compelling food & drink experiences for a wide range of private clients & commercial brands.

Chris was awarded one Michelin star whilst head chef at The Sir Charles Napier restaurant in Oxfordshire in 2012, which he maintained for three years until he decided he wanted a change and left the star and restaurant behind and began to forge a path in the world of events. He has a wealth of experience working for top chefs such as Phillip Howard and Emily Watkins and for caterers like Rhubarb, and is crazily adept at cooking off grid with minimal facilities.

Greg met Chris whilst working as a sommelier. Before wine took its grip, he previously managed bars in the UK and Australia and worked as an artist & designer. He gives Native its liquid offering and is both front of house at events and back of house on the computer and phone.

Our team of dedicated chefs have spent years toiling in some of the countries most acclaimed kitchens and our front of house staff are so good, you'll probably want them as a friend. Quality and provenance of produce are key to our offering and we work with the seasons to create modern British food with global influence. From Asian influenced canap├ęs & bowls to multi-course menus that explore sustainable British farmers & producers, we have it covered.

Cocktails are inventive, seasonal takes on the fundamentals and we source low intervention artisan wines from small importers, grain-to-glass spirits & craft beers from the best local & British producers, many of whom we now consider friends.

The food was the absolute tits! Still dreaming about those mac & cheese bites now...
