M&C Saatchi asked us to create a bespoke menu for a dinner to coincide with the release of a series of limited edition Sonos One speakers made in collaboration with Danish design studio HAY. The dinner was to champion the 5 different pantones of the speaker by representing each of them in different courses.
Twenty interiors & lifestyle social media influencers were invited to the beautifully renovated Ennismore Sessions House in Clerkenwell for a pop-up style dinner and demonstration to mark the release of the product.
Research led us to colour psychology and the emotions and feelings that may be conjured by each speaker's colour. We then listed seasonal British ingredients available that matched each palette.
From this research, we created separate dishes, each constructed from our lists of ingredients and combining to play their part in creating a holistic, flowing five course menu.
We wanted to encapsulate the conjured emotion of each speaker and how and where they may be placed in different environments. The aim of the menu and experience as a whole was to summarise the premium, elegant & modern aesthetic of the product itself.
We paired each course with its own drink, creating one-off cocktails and selecting low intervention wines based on the colour psychology (again using the palette ingredients) that fell within the bounds of each emotion, sense of place and palette.
